Director of Sales and Catering for the hotel, Marie Cicogni interacts with customers on a daily basis and works to build relationships with them. Cicogni explains that the hotel is actually a 1929 paddle boat that sunk in the San Francisco Bay, and was resurrected in 1985. Now moored in Old Sacrament, on the Sacramento River, guests will love staying at this unique hotel. The hotel is family owned and such an enivornment allows guests to feel as though they are apart of the hotel family. Described as having the “flavor of being on a riverboat,” the Delta King Hotel attracts leisure as well as government and corporate travelers. With 44 rooms, 11,000 square feet of meeting space with 9 meeting rooms, and a large outdoor deck for social gatherings, this hotel is not your typical “box hotel,” and is “slightly larger than your typical bed and breakfast.” One guest comments, “We loved staying on the Delta King boat, and would definately recommend it to friends.”
